Termální bazén

The Termální bazén (thermal pool) is the centrepiece of the spa aquacentrum in Janské Lázně, a spa town in the Krkonoše (Giant) Mountains. The spa's own site describes the facility as a lázeňské aquacentrum supplied by the town's warm mineral springs, the Janský and Černý (Black) springs.

The thermal pool

The rehabilitation pool has an irregular shape with a water surface of 230 m² and a depth of 1.2 to 1.5 metres. It is fitted with water curtains, a counter-current, and massage and bubble (perličková) beds, and is served by both indoor and outdoor whirlpools. In the evening the pool is lit by underwater coloured lighting.

Saunas and wellness

The complex includes Finnish saunas and a steam sauna, together with a cooling pool. A newer experience Finnish sauna is located on the terrace. In the summer season a sunny terrace with loungers is available.

Spa and medical context

Janské Lázně is a rehabilitation and spa centre. The spa states that it specialises in the treatment of the locomotor system (léčení pohybového ústrojí) and, as a climate spa (klimatické lázně), offers conditions suited to respiratory problems, with treatment facilities for both adults and children (including the children's clinic Dětská léčebna Vesna). An outpatient clinic (ambulance) is offered.

Facilities, hours and prices

The aquacentrum complex has on-site dining at Restaurant Terra and the Kavárna Kolonáda café. From 17 March 2025 the thermal pool is open on weekdays 16:00–21:00 and at weekends 13:00–21:00. Pool-only admission is 150–360 Kč for adults and 120–290 Kč for children aged 3–14 (for 1 to 3 hours); a combined sauna-and-pool ticket costs 250–600 Kč for adults and 200–480 Kč for children. Family rates and a 50% discount for ZTP/P cardholders and insured spa clients are available.
