Strefa Wellness — Polana Jakuszycka

The wellness area catalogued here as SPA centrum is the Strefa Wellness of Dolnośląskie Centrum Sportu Polana Jakuszycka, a year-round cross-country skiing and biathlon centre at Jakuszyce 8 in Szklarska Poręba, on the Polish side of the Izera Mountains near the Czech border. The operator's own page for the area is headed "Strefa Wellness" and lives at the /centrum-spa/ address; the about page lists the facility among the centre's components as "Centrum SPA z basenem" (SPA centre with a pool).

The water is ordinary heated tap water: the operator makes no thermal, mineral or brine claim for the pool anywhere on the pages read. The one mineral element is a tężnia solankowa, a brine graduation tower, which the operator describes as an inhalation installation acting on the nervous, endocrine and immune systems — it is breathed, not bathed in. The Polish page enumerates four elements of the zone: the pool, a gym, a sauna (the text names both dry and steam saunas without giving a count), and the brine tower. The English version of the same page enumerates the pool, the gym, the sauna and a generic "SPA" treatments entry, and omits the brine tower. The pool is described as 17 metres long and ideal for a morning warm-up, and the operator's FAQ answers the question of why it is not full size by stating plainly that "Basen pełni rolę rekreacyjną" — the pool serves a recreational role — and that it was built to the largest dimensions the local zoning plan allowed.

Two of the operator's pages disagree about whether the wellness zone is open. The Strefa Wellness page publishes hours of Monday to Sunday 10:00–22:00, with 10:00–20:00 open to both external customers and overnight guests (last entry 20:00) and 21:00–22:00 reserved for overnight guests, which would make this a venue selling day access. The site-wide banner on every page states instead that the facility began operating on 7 September, that it is currently being tested by sports championship schools and sports clubs, and that the centre will be made available to individual guests in October, at which point price lists for the pool and SPA will be published. Both statements are the operator's; a visitor should confirm before travelling. No admission prices are published yet — the Cennik heading on the wellness page carries no figures.
