Who makes this catalogue, where its facts come from and what it does not do.
What this is
A catalogue of places where you can get into warm water: thermal baths, water parks, saunas, spas, natural hot springs and lidos — most of them in Europe, some far beyond it. Each has a page with its location on a map, its address, and whatever is known about its opening hours, prices, water temperature and facilities.
Where the data comes from
Locations, names and facility tags come from OpenStreetMap under the ODbL licence. Regions and towns are resolved through Nominatim. Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons add identifiers and licensed photos where a safe match exists. Water facts and ticket prices come from operator pages and show their source and check date when stored. Unknown facts stay unknown rather than guessed.
What it costs
Nothing. There is no booking, no commission and no paid placement: every venue page links to the operator's own site. Ticket prices are the operator's and are shown as published.
What it does not do
- No booking and no payments: the catalogue links to the operator's own site and takes no commission.
- No prices are invented. A price is shown only where the source states one unambiguously, with the operator's conditions beside it in English; the original wording stays on the operator's page.
- No ratings without reviews. A venue with no approved reviews publishes no rating, and none is estimated.
- No tracking beyond a single Google Analytics 4 tag that loads only after you accept it — no advertising or social pixels, no session recording, no cross-site tracking.
- Venue descriptions are generated strictly from the facts the catalogue stores — the model is given no other source and invents nothing — and nothing a visitor submits is ever sent to a model provider.
Who runs it
ThermGuide is run by Denis Malov s.p. (sole trader). Corrections and questions go to the address below; a venue operator can also claim its page and keep it current.
