What this site is, and what it is not
ThermGuide is an editorial guide to thermal baths, spas, saunas and water parks, written by us and linking out to each venue's own site. We do not sell tickets or stays, take no bookings and hold no money. We are not an agent or an intermediary, and we are not a party to anything you agree with a venue.
Nothing here is medical advice
Entries describe what venues publish and what is known about their water. They are not a diagnosis, not a recommendation and not a substitute for your own doctor. Hot and mineral water, saunas and medical bathing have contraindications — among them heart and circulation conditions, pregnancy and some medication. Ask your own physician before you go.
Where the information comes from
From venues' own websites, from open data such as OpenStreetMap, Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons, and from our own research. Opening hours, temperatures and facilities change without telling us. We correct what we learn of, but we do not warrant that any entry is current, complete or free of error; confirm anything that matters with the venue before you go.
The images are generated illustrations
The cover image on an entry is not a photograph of that venue. It is an illustration we produced with image-generation tools, guided by reference photographs, to show the character of a place; pools, rooms and details in it do not depict the real ones exactly. Do not rely on an image as a picture of what you will find. Photographs that a venue uploads to its own entry are its own. If you run a venue and an image misrepresents it, write to hello@thermguide.com and we will change or remove it.
Rights in the content
The text, the selections, the structured data and our illustrations are ours and are protected by copyright and database right. You may quote a short passage with attribution and a working link. Republication, systematic copying, scraping and bulk extraction require our written permission.
Names that are not ours
Venue names, logos and trademarks belong to the venues. We use them to identify what we write about; that does not imply that a venue endorses us, is affiliated with us or has approved what we wrote.
What venues publish themselves
Once we have verified a claim, a venue's representative can edit its description, contact details, opening hours and photographs themselves. Those changes appear on the site without our prior review, and the venue is responsible for them — for their accuracy and for holding the rights to what it uploads. We do not monitor them continuously. When we learn that something a venue has published is false, misleading or infringes someone's rights, we correct or remove it; write to hello@thermguide.com.
Reviews
Reviews are the opinions of the visitors who wrote them, not ours. We read each one before it appears and refuse those that are abusive, off-topic, commercial or plainly unlawful, but we cannot verify what a reviewer says happened. If a review breaches the law or your rights, write to hello@thermguide.com and we will look at it.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your credentials safe. One person per account. No unlawful content, no attempts to break or overload the site, and nothing that infringes someone else's rights. We may suspend an account that breaks these rules or is used to push false information about a venue, whether its own or a competitor's.
Corrections, complaints and removal
Write to hello@thermguide.com and say which entry and what is wrong. Venues may ask for a factual correction at any time, and we make it when it checks out. We do not remove an accurate entry on request: a guide that deletes what its subjects dislike is worth nothing to a reader. If you believe something infringes your rights, tell us what and why, and we will look at it properly.
Links to other sites
Every entry links out. We choose what to link but we do not control those sites, their content, their booking terms or their handling of your data, and we take no responsibility for them.
Personal data
How we handle personal data — for accounts, reviews, claims and messages — is set out in the privacy policy.
Liability
The site is provided as it stands, without warranty of accuracy, completeness or availability. To the extent the law allows, we exclude liability for loss arising from use of the site, from reliance on an entry, and from any dealing between you and a venue. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — in particular for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes and governing law
We may change these terms; the date of the last change is shown on this page. Slovenian law applies, without prejudice to the consumer protections of the country where you live and to the mandatory rules that apply there.
