About
Thermalbad & Spa Zürich, known as the Hürlimannbad, is a thermal bathing world built into the historical vaults of the former Hürlimann brewery. The setting pairs the old brewery architecture with a spa experience the operator describes as a sacred bathing world, crowned by a rooftop infinity pool that looks out over the city.
Thermal bath and pools
At the heart of the complex is the central thermal bath, fitted with massage jets and bubble loungers, alongside an emerald bath with underwater music and a rain shower with light effects. A herb steam bath, held at 42 °C, wraps bathers in warmth carrying a fine herbal scent. The signature feature is the rooftop infinity pool, where 35 °C water is combined with a panoramic view over Zürich. Bathing ends 30 minutes before closing each day.
Roman-Irish spa ritual
The Hürlimannbad also offers a Roman-Irish spa ritual run across ten stations: a flower steam at 40 °C to ease the body into the heat, a cleansing and sea-buckthorn peeling massaged in in circular motions, a hot herb steam at 45 °C, a hot bath at 40 °C, warm stone, a Roman bath at 35 °C, a movement bath at a cooler 28 °C, a further warm stone, a ballroom, and finally the spa lounge.
