Terme Banovci

Terme Banovci is a thermal spa and resort in Banovci, in the Prlekija region of northeastern Slovenia. It combines a set of thermal and regular-water pools with a sauna village, wellness and beauty services, and its own accommodation, camping and dining, drawing on iron-bearing thermal water.

The water

The resort's pools are supplied with thermal water. Its known mineral character includes iron, and the main thermal pools reach up to 38 degrees Celsius.

Pools & saunas

Eight indoor and outdoor pools are available, holding either thermal or regular water, with water temperatures ranging from 22 to 38 degrees Celsius. Water slides operate seasonally. Bathing is offered through a range of options including all-day, afternoon and three-hour swimming as well as family packages and swimming combined with lunch.

The Prlekija Sauna Village offers traditional saunas led by sauna masters, together with the Prlekija whirl show. Special sauna programmes are held around the full and new moon, featuring rituals such as air-waving, Himalayan singing bowls, chocolate peelings and vitamin wraps, and the venue runs themed sauna events through the year. During regular sessions, guests are offered refreshments such as apples, water with lemon, herbal tea, clear soup and a detox drink. The resort also has a separate FKK (naturist) swimming area and sauna, open seasonally.

Facilities

Alongside bathing and saunas, Terme Banovci provides wellness services including massages, beauty treatments and pampering for couples. Sports and recreation activities and family-oriented experiences are available on site. Accommodation includes the four-star Hotel Narcisa and the three-star Hotel Zeleni Gaj complex (41 rooms), as well as mobile homes with private jacuzzis, the Sončni gaj campsite and a naturist camp. Dining options include half board and a Prlekija cuisine offering.

Visiting

The swimming pools are open Sunday to Thursday from 8:00 to 21:00 and Friday and Saturday from 8:00 to 22:00, with extended hours during school holidays. The saunas open daily from 10:00 to 21:00. Reception and the aperitif bar operate every day from 7:00 to 22:00. The resort offers various swimming and stay packages rather than a single admission price.
