Lenti Termálfürdő és Szent György Energiapark

Balance Resort Gyógyfürdő is a medicinal thermal spa in Lenti, in Hungary's Zala county. The site describes it not merely as a bathing venue but as a combined healing and leisure complex, pairing the spa with a medical centre and hotel accommodation. Its adventure, beach and spa area holds 9 indoor and 5 outdoor pools and is open every day of the year.

The water

The spa draws on what it calls 40,000-year-old sodium bicarbonate medicinal water. According to the site, the water was struck in the 1960s while a well was being drilled during construction of a flax factory, and the spa opened in 1978 to make use of it. The water was awarded official medicinal-water status in 1988, and in 2016 the spa was declared a health resort. The site states the water is suitable for treating musculoskeletal complaints, inflammatory and abrasive conditions of the spine (neck, back, waist), lumbago and joints (shoulder, elbow, hand, hip, knee, ankle), and is also recommended for regeneration. Two pools, one indoor and one outdoor, are filled with medicinal water; the recommended bathing time is 20 minutes, and the medicinal water is not recommended for children under 14.

Pools

The 3,000 m2 indoor area contains five pools: a 33 m, five-lane swimming pool (26-28°C, 2 m deep); an indoor medicinal pool (36-38°C); a semi-indoor hydro-massage or "relax" pool (36-38°C) with massage jets and neck showers that runs on thermal water in summer and medicinal water from October; a children's pool (32-34°C); and a paddling pool (33°C). A 630 m2 recreation area links the indoor hall to the adventure area. The 1,000 m2 adventure section adds an adventure pool with a 75 m slide (31-33°C), an adult adventure pool with massage features (34-36°C), a jacuzzi (34-36°C) and a children's paddling pool with a penguin slide. The outdoor beach, set in 8 hectares of parkland, opens from May with five pools: a 25 m five-lane swimming pool, a children's pool, an outdoor medicinal pool (36-38°C), a paddling pool with a frog slide, and a large beach pool (1,340 m2 water surface) featuring a 74 m slide, wild-water stream, neck showers and massage beds.

Sauna world

The sauna world is a swimsuit-free zone for guests over 18 and features four cabins: an aroma sauna (80°C), two Finnish saunas (90°C and 70°C) and an infrared sauna (35°C). There is also an outdoor sauna garden, an indoor relaxation area with heated benches, outdoor showers, and guided sauna rituals led by staff.

Other facilities

The complex includes the St. George Energy Park, a self-service restaurant reachable from both the indoor spa and the beach that serves an a la carte and weekly-changing menu plus drinks, and the Balance Medical Center healing centre offering treatments. Hotel and camping accommodation are available under the wider Balance Resort brand.

Visiting

The bathing areas are open 09:00-19:30, with cash desks open 09:00-20:00; the sauna world operates 11:00-18:30 and the medical centre 09:00-17:00 on weekdays. During the summer 2026 price period, an all-day adult ticket is 6,500 Ft (5,400 Ft for students and pensioners, 3,300 Ft for children), with a daily sauna supplement of 2,800 Ft; reduced rates apply for Lenti residents. Cash (EUR and HUF) and card payments are accepted.
