Thermal water & source

Thermalpark Nitrava draws on two distinct waters. The balneological well BPK-2 delivers naturally mineral water from a depth of around 1,710 metres, characterised as highly mineralised, sodium-bicarbonate type and weakly alkaline; the site links it to relief for the musculoskeletal system and rheumatism, support for the nervous system, bone regeneration and muscle relaxation. A second geothermal well, FGPK-1, yields high-salinity chloride-sodium water containing boron, bromides, iodides, silicates and sulphur compounds, associated with skin health, circulation, joints and cartilage, and osteoporosis. Water temperatures across the ten pools range from about 27 °C to 40 °C depending on the pool.

Pools & attractions

The resort operates ten pools split between an indoor (hotel) zone open year-round and a seasonal summer aquapark.

Hyperthermal pool (indoor): the oldest indoor pool, therapeutic thermal water at roughly 36–39 °C, depth about 130 cm.
Experience pool (indoor): 28–33 °C with water jets, hydromassage and coloured lighting.
Whirlpool (indoor): 36–40 °C with hydromassage jets and ambient lighting.
Spillway pool (outdoor, year-round): 27–30 °C with hydromassage jets.
Saltwater relaxation pool (outdoor): 38–40 °C, high mineral content, with a recommended 15-minute bathing limit.
Lake pool (outdoor, summer only): a historic facility at 26–30 °C, depth 90–140 cm.
Summer experience pool: current wall, waterfall, climbing wall and water cannons.
Lazy river: a float-along channel with water sprays and tipping buckets.
Summer relaxation pool: massage jets, a water bar and lounging areas.

Sauna & wellness

The wellness centre houses a sauna world with three saunas: a Finnish sauna ("Pastierska sauna") running at 80–100 °C, a steam sauna ("Turecká sauna") at 40–50 °C with 50–100% humidity, and an infrared sauna ("Felíciino tajomstvo") at 40–50 °C. A whirlpool spa ("Kesovský kotol") is maintained at about 36 °C. Massage treatments (from about €22 for 30 minutes) and cosmetics services are also offered. Note: the sauna world was closed from 1 June 2026 with a planned reopening around September or October 2026.

Family & kids

Families are well catered for with a dedicated indoor children's pool (15–30 cm deep) featuring a mushroom fountain and two small slides, and a pirate-themed outdoor "Water Castle" splash area with slides, jets and showers at 0–45 cm depth. Family entry packages are available.

Accommodation & dining

The three-star Hotel Thermal Kesov *** stands directly within the resort, with 20 rooms and a capacity of 56 beds (44 permanent plus 12 extra beds for children under 15). Classic and Superior rooms come in 2-, 3- and 4-bed configurations, each with a private bathroom, TV, free Wi-Fi, bathrobes and towels. Guests get free secured parking and unlimited access to all indoor and outdoor pools throughout their stay, including departure day. The hotel restaurant serves buffet breakfasts, daily lunch menus, dinners and à la carte international and Slovak cuisine, with half-board and full-board options.

Setting

The park sits in the village of Poľný Kesov in south-western Slovakia's Nitra region, combining year-round indoor thermal bathing with a seasonal summer aquapark.
