Bábolna Strand- és Termálfürdő is a themed thermal bath in Bábolna, Hungary, fed by a thermal well and offering two therapeutic pools and a thermal pool (33–37 °C), an outdoor adventure and children's area, and a multi-cabin sauna world.

About

Bábolna Strand- és Termálfürdő (Bábolna Beach and Thermal Bath) is a thermal bathing complex in the town of Bábolna. The venue presents itself as Hungary's first themed bath, built to evoke the atmosphere of traditional rural village life, and its water comes from a thermal well on site. The complex is arranged around three areas: an indoor thermal section, an outdoor beach (strand) area, and a sauna world.

Thermal and therapeutic pools

The thermal section has three pools, all with a water depth of 0.95 m. Two are therapeutic pools (gyógymedence): one of 54 m² at 37 ±1 °C and a second of 54 m² at 35 ±1 °C. The third is a 68.5 m² thermal pool (termálmedence) at 33 ±1 °C.

Outdoor beach area

The outdoor strand offers a 200 m² adventure pool at 30–32 °C with a depth of 0.95–1.2 m, fitted with play elements including a neck-shower (dögönyöző), a slide and a climbing wall. A 20 m² children's pool at 30–32 °C, with a depth of 0.15–0.3 m, provides shallow paddling for young children. A roughly 100 m² Spray Park adds water sprayers, misting gates and interactive water-play features for families.

Sauna world

The sauna world (Pajta Szauna Klub) comprises several cabins: the Pajta Finnish sauna (capacity 19, 95–100 °C) with pouring programmes; the Csikó Finnish sauna (capacity 8, 90–95 °C); the Lavender Finnish sauna (capacity 14, 55–60 °C) scented with dried lavender; the Rainbow infrared sauna (capacity 3, 40–60 °C) with light therapy; and the Storm steam cabin (capacity 6, 40–45 °C, 80–100% humidity) with herbs. A wooden-tub plunge pool at 10–12 °C is available for cooling, and the venue suggests allowing about 1.5–3 hours for a full sauna visit.

Dining and services

The on-site Legelő Étterem restaurant serves traditional Hungarian cuisine. The complex can also be hired for events such as birthdays, weddings, corporate functions and team-building.

Opening hours

The bath is open Monday to Sunday from 9:00 to 20:00 (stated as valid from 20 June 2026). The Pajta Szauna Klub operates Friday to Sunday from 12:00 and is closed Monday to Thursday.
