AVA Thermalpark

AVA Thermalpark Diakovce (Kúpalisko Diakovce) is a thermal water resort in the village of Diakovce in south-western Slovakia. The property was taken over in May 2021 and has since been extensively modernised, and it now offers around 2,300 m² of water surface spread across five pools, wellness facilities, dining outlets and on-site accommodation.

Thermal water & source

The resort is fed by geothermal water drawn from two wells. The DI-1 well was drilled between 1954 and 1957 to a depth of 3,303 m, while the DI-2 well reaches 1,551 m and taps water at up to 67°C; the geothermal source arrives at the surface at around 39°C. The water is described as medium mineralised and of the alkaline-bicarbonate type, containing Ca, Mg, Na, K, Cl, S and HCO. It is noted for beneficial effects on the musculoskeletal system, the nervous system and rheumatic conditions.

Pools & attractions

Swimming pool - 25 m long with swimming lanes and starting blocks, 359 m², depth 1.45-1.60 m, water 26-28°C.
Relaxation bubble pool - 795 m², depth 1.10-1.20 m, water 32-34°C, with jets, back-massage sprays, massage loungers, lighting and shading.
Rest pool (Total Relax) - 99 m², depth 1.00-1.10 m, water 36°C, with stainless-steel seating, a fountain, jets and shading (not recommended for people with cardiovascular disease or children under 3).
Children's pool - 623 m², depth 0.25-0.30 m, water 32-34°C, featuring a large water-castle attraction.
Family relax pool - 615 m², depth 1.10-1.20 m, water 32-34°C, with massage loungers, massage jets, lighting and shading.
Water slide - 9 m high with two lanes and a total length of approximately 100 m.

Sauna & wellness

The wellness zone includes a Finnish sauna (90-100°C), a herbal-salt sauna (50-55°C) that combines aromatic essences with steam therapy for inhalation benefits, whirlpools (32-34°C) with automatic air hydrotherapy and floor and wall jets, and cold-therapy options comprising an ice chamber (5°C), a cooling pool (12-15°C), cold showers and cooling pools.

Family & kids

The children's pool with its water castle and the dedicated Aváčik children's attractions zone make the park family-friendly, and family apartments and cottages such as "Chatka Obláčik" and "Chatka Motýlik" are available for overnight stays.

Dining

On-site refreshment is provided by six buffets, two pastry shops and a pool bar, plus the "AVA PARTY TRUCK" serving beverages. A shop called "Môj obchod" offers fresh baked goods and supplies.

Camping & accommodation

Guests can stay in the apartment building, in family apartments or in cottages, and there are camping spaces and caravan sites as well as the option to camp with your own tent.

Opening hours

The pool is open Monday-Sunday 9:00-19:00, with additional night swimming on Friday and Saturday from 20:00 to 24:00. Reception operates Monday-Sunday 9:00-19:00 in season, and Monday-Friday 9:00-17:00 with Saturday-Sunday 9:00-19:00 out of season.
