Aquapark Senec

Aquapark Senec is a commercial water park at Senec, about 25 km east of Bratislava beside the Slnečné jazerá (Sunny Lakes) resort. It is organised in three parts sold separately or in combination: the Aquapark proper with its slides and pools, a Swimaréna with swimming lanes and courses, and the SAI Wellness sauna and whirlpool area. Accommodation, catering, animation programmes for children, an indoor playground, day camps and corporate events are attached to the park, and an on-site shop sells tickets and stay packages.

The park publishes a pool-by-pool table of temperatures and seasons. Seven pools are listed: the Lazy River Pool at 24 to 30 °C, summer operation only; the Play Pool at 32 to 33 °C, year-round; the Bubble Pool at 36 to 37 °C, year-round; the Swimming Pool at 28 °C, year-round; the Sunshine Pool at 28 to 32 °C, year-round; the Relax Pool at 32 to 33 °C, year-round; and the Fun Pool at 32 to 33 °C, summer operation only. Of these the Lazy River Pool and the Relax Pool are marked closed at present and the Fun Pool is listed as summer-only, while the summer grounds remain open in favourable weather with a published list of which attractions are running. Named attractions include the Blue Speed, Green Speed, Space Hole, Tsunami and Mississippi slides, the Red River and Yellow River rides, an indoor slide, a small slide and a small twin slide, and a bouncy castle.

The wellness area lists eleven heat and water stations with their temperatures and, where relevant, humidities: an infrared sauna at 40 to 60 °C, a bamboo sauna at 80 to 90 °C, a eucalyptus steam sauna at 43 °C with 98 to 100 per cent humidity, a Finnish sauna at 100 °C, a Russian banya at 60 to 70 °C, a salt sauna at 39 °C, a Turkish hammam at 38 °C, a Kneipp bath running from 10 to 50 °C, a cooling pool at 19 °C and small, large and outdoor whirlpools between 30 and 38 °C. Sauna ceremonies and massages are offered on top of the wellness admission.

The Aquapark and the Swimaréna open daily from 10:00 to 22:00 and SAI Wellness daily from 12:00 to 22:00, with a separate page listing planned shutdowns. It should be noted for cataloguing purposes that the operator makes no claim of thermal, mineral or spring water anywhere on its site: a search of its pool, sauna and opening-hours pages for the Slovak words for thermal, geothermal, mineral, spring and healing returns nothing. This is a heated recreational water park, not a thermal bath.
