Thermalpark DS

Thermalpark is a bathing resort on a lakeside site in Dunajská Streda, in southern Slovakia, open all year. Besides the pools it has a sauna world and a massage centre, with hotels, guest houses and a camping area on or near the site.

The water

The thermal water comes from a well 1,600 metres deep and emerges at up to 57 °C. It is high in sodium, at 391 mg/l, and in bicarbonates, and soft, with 4.1 mg/l calcium and 3.4 mg/l magnesium. Only some of the pools use it; the rest are filled with spring water.

Saunas and staying

The Sauna World has Finnish, infrared and bio saunas, a steam cabin, a salt cabin, a jacuzzi and a cooling pool, with regular sauna rituals; a newer Panorama sauna stands beside the lake. Swimming lessons and activity programmes are run for children. The three-star Hotel Thermalpark has a congress hall, and Hotel Campino is the quieter of the two hotels. A restaurant with a terrace is open daily, and in summer poolside stands sell lángos, fried fish and sausages.
