About

The bath at Csorna in the Rábaköz operates as the DIADÉM Csornai Termálfürdő; the address csornaifurdo.hu redirects to the commercial directory termalfurdo.hu, while the operator's own site is diademfurdo.hu. It is a seasonal open-air thermal bath run on certified medicinal water (gyógyvíz), open every day of the summer season from 10.00 to 19.00. The directory records the closing date of the 2026 season as 30 August 2026, with reopening expected in early June 2027.

The operator states that the site has five pools with tensioned water surfaces, ceramic-lined, shaded and sand-filtered, plus a paddling pool with a toddler slide under its own shading. The directory's pool table lists five pools with temperatures: a teaching pool at 25 °C, a paddling pool at 26 °C, a medicinal pool at 35 °C and a beach pool at 25 °C in the open air, and a second, partly covered medicinal pool at 36 °C. Three slides are listed by the operator, including a three-lane water slide with modern braking. Also on the grounds: a reception building with a first-aid room, a doctor's room, a massage room and a buffet; changing rooms and lockers; accessible toilet, shower and a mobile pool lift; a rubber-surfaced playground with two sunken trampolines and a bouncy castle; sports courts for teqball, footbag, table tennis, beach volleyball and outdoor chess; a stage with summer programmes; free WiFi; and 135 free parking spaces. A desalination unit reducing the high mineral content of the thermal water is part of the renewed plant.

The water is described by the operator as exceptionally rich in minerals by world standards, anti-inflammatory, supporting bone metabolism, muscle function and circulation, and suitable for almost all musculoskeletal conditions: spondylosis, arthrosis, osteoporosis, discopathy, lumbago, Bechterew's disease, chronic joint inflammation, gout, soft-tissue rheumatism, rehabilitation after orthopaedic and neurosurgical operations, accident aftercare, chronic gynaecological and urological inflammations, chronic gastritis, ulcer disease and digestive disorders. Treatment is said to work best as a one-, two- or three-week course. No well certificate is published: neither the operator nor the directory gives a well depth, a source temperature at the wellhead or a numeric mineralisation value.

Two contradictions are left standing rather than resolved. The operator's own pages disagree on the water's chemistry: the home page attributes the healing effect to a high salt, sodium and potassium content, while the dedicated Termálvíz page calls it an alkaline-hydrogencarbonate water high in calcium, magnesium and fluoride. The pool count also differs between sources: the directory's descriptive text speaks of four thermal pools, a beach pool and a teaching pool, while its own table heads the list with five pools, and the operator's wording separates a paddling pool from the five tensioned-surface pools.
