Thermál Nesvady

Thermál Nesvady is a thermal bath at Nesvady in Slovakia's Nitra region, open all year with two of its pools heated through the winter and two more running only in the summer season.

The water

The well reaches 1,504 metres and the water arrives at the surface at 62 °C, well above bathing temperature. The venue describes a natural, moderately mineralised, weakly alkaline and hypotonic water with a total mineral content of 2,885 mg per litre, in which sodium, bicarbonates, fluorides and sulphates dominate. According to the venue, regular bathing brings marked relaxation of the muscles and eases tension built up by physical effort and stress.

Pools

Five pools are listed. The relaxation and experience pool is 1.1 m deep and runs up to 36-38 °C, and a sitting pool of the same depth goes up to 39 °C; both are open all year, as is the cooling pool, 1.2 m deep and held at up to 18 °C. In the summer season a recreation pool of 1.1 m opens at 28-30 °C, along with a children's pool for under-sixes, 0.35 m deep and kept at 30-32 °C.

Facilities

A pool terrace offers a hundred free loungers, and there is a green sunbathing area, a children's playground, a restaurant and buffets, massage services and free parking for 99 cars.

Visiting

The pools are outdoors and the site opens daily from 10:00 to 21:00. An adult day ticket is listed at 11 euros and a senior ticket at 9 euros.
