About
Letné kúpalisko Dudinka is the open-air thermal bath of the Kúpele Dudince spa company in Dudince, southern Slovakia. The operator says the bath is named after the water nymph to whom, according to a well-known legend, Dudince owes the healing power of its local spring, and that it underwent a complete reconstruction in 2007, after which it became a favourite with locals, spa guests and visitors from the surrounding area. The operator's own summary classes it as a summer thermal bath and confirms that it has mineral water, in the mineral pool.
The operator enumerates the pools in the grounds without giving a total. It lists a recreation pool 25 m long, 12.5 m wide and 1.30 m deep with water at 26-28 °C; a pool with water attractions, taking the run-out of the flume, a family slide and a water channel with jets, at 28 °C; a children's pool no more than 0.4 m deep at 30 °C; and a seated mineral pool filled with Dudince healing water, 1.05-1.14 m deep at 33-34 °C. Across the site the water is given as 26-34 °C. The mineral pool is filled daily with Dudince mineral healing water, which the operator says acts favourably on disorders of the locomotor apparatus and the cardiovascular and nervous systems. It is a seated pool, meaning bathers should sit quietly rather than swim or stir the water; it is restricted to visitors aged fifteen and over, the maximum recommended stay is thirty minutes, people with heart conditions are told to take particular care, and jewellery is best removed beforehand because the mineral water can blacken it.
All the water attractions in the grounds - flume, slide, wild water and jets - along with loungers, changing rooms and the children's zone are free with entry; only the mineral pool carries an extra charge, for a maximum of thirty minutes. Several stands and buffets sell refreshments, and free monitored parking lies about 150 m from the grounds. The equipment list adds sun umbrellas and locker-room lockers.
The operator contradicts itself on the season. The summary table gives the operating period as June to September, but the same page states that the bath is in operation from 29 May 2026, and the hours table carries a separate column for May and September. Published hours are: in June, Monday 11:00-18:00 and Tuesday to Thursday 09:00-18:00, with Friday to Sunday 09:00-19:00; in July and August, Monday 11:00-19:00, Tuesday to Thursday 09:00-19:00, and Friday to Sunday 09:00-20:00; in May and September, Monday 11:00-17:00 and Tuesday to Sunday 10:00-17:00. Admission for 2026 is 7.50 EUR for an adult for three hours Monday to Friday and 9 EUR at weekends and on holidays, with each further started hour 2.50 EUR. Children up to 120 cm enter free all day; those over 120 cm up to their fifteenth birthday pay 6.50 EUR for the day. Entry two hours before closing costs 5.50 EUR. Family tickets for three hours run from 18 EUR for two adults and one child on weekdays to 33 EUR for two adults and three children at weekends. The mineral pool is a single indivisible thirty-minute adult entry carrying a supplement of 4 EUR, reduced from 6.50 EUR as a special offer.
