Termálne kúpalisko Veronika Rajec

Termálne kúpalisko Veronika is an outdoor summer swimming complex in Rajec, Slovakia, set on grounds of about 55,000 m² with roughly 2,200 m² of water surface and around 1,000 free parking spaces.

Thermal water & source

All water in the pools comes from a borehole drilled in 1973 to a depth of 1,308 metres, with a capacity of 20 litres per second and a natural water temperature of about 27°C. The operators note that, depending on the weather, the water fluctuates roughly between 25°C and 30°C. Only this borehole water is used (no tap water), it is kept fresh by a continuous flow-through system, is treated only with chlorine, and has a pH considered gentle on the skin. Legally the facility is classified as thermal, though the management openly describes it as a summer pool, since 27°C is not generally regarded as a true thermal temperature.

Family & kids

The complex offers numerous attractions for children, including a sandbox, climbing frames and swings. Children under 120 cm enter free of charge.

Dining

On-site dining includes a restaurant with a pizzeria (about 70 seats), a café (about 30 seats), a bar (about 50 seats) and a quick-refreshment stand. The venue also hosts events year-round, such as weddings, banquets, meetings, picnics, children's camps and New Year's celebrations.

Setting

The pool operates as an outdoor summer facility, typically open in the June to September season. A VIP Beach Time package with a lounger and umbrella is also available.
