AQUA-VITAL Park

AQUA-VITAL Park is the bathing and sauna complex of Kúpele Lúčky, a spa in the Liptov region of northern Slovakia. It combines outdoor and indoor mineral pools with an indoor and an outdoor sauna world, alongside the spa's own treatment department.

The water

Two mineral springs supply the spa. The Valentína spring emerges at 32.3 °C and carries 875 mg of carbon dioxide per litre; the HGL-3 spring emerges at 35.2 °C and carries 606 mg of calcium per litre.

Pools

The outdoor recreational pool measures 25 by 14 metres, is 1.2 m deep and runs at 28 to 32 °C, with air loungers, a counter-current, a water cup, massage jets, water sprays and underwater lighting. Beside it a sitting pool filled with therapeutic mineral water is held much hotter, at 36 to 38 °C. The indoor mineral pool is run at 33 °C and 35 °C. The outdoor vitality world adds a whirlpool for eight people and a cooling pool for use after the sauna.

Saunas

The indoor vitality world has a Finnish sauna, a menthol sauna and a Kneipp bath; a second Finnish sauna, seating ten, stands in the outdoor vitality world. A steam sauna and a salt cave belong to the wider wellness offering.

Treatments

The spa's procedure list covers massage, hydrotherapy, thermotherapy, electrotherapy, light therapy and inhalation.

Visiting

The outdoor pools open daily from 10:00 to 19:45 and the vitality world from 12:00 to 19:45. The indoor pool keeps shorter hours, 15:00 to 20:00, with last entry at 19:00.
