Termálne kúpalisko Štrand Emila Tatárika

Termálne kúpalisko ŠTRAND is a large outdoor thermal bathing resort in Nové Zámky, southern Slovakia, built around eight pools and a wide range of attractions set beside an arm of the Nitra river.

Thermal water & pools

The complex uses thermal water valued for its beneficial effects on body and mind. It offers eight pools at a variety of temperatures:

• Perličkový bazén (thermal bubble pool) at 35°C, with a water spout, 12 pairs of massage jets and a bubble bath
• Zážitkový bazén (experience pool), 25 x 22 m, 0.5-1.2 m deep, at 30°C
• Rekreačný bazén (recreation pool), 25 x 12.5 m, 1.5 m deep, at 28°C
• Veľký zážitkový bazén (large experience pool), 50 x 21 m, 1.1-2.0 m deep, at 26°C
• Vlnový bazén (wave pool), 0-140 cm deep, for swimmers
• Tobogánový bazén (slide splash pool), 12 x 9 m, 0.80 m deep, at 26°C

Water slides

Nine slides serve all ages, including the 100 m Veľký tobogán, the 52 m Twister, Kamikadze (20.54 m), the Vodný tunel, a spiral slide, a rainbow slide, the Family slide and the children's Dino slide (5.50 m).

Family & kids

Younger visitors have dedicated shallow pools: three circular children's pools (0.30-0.60 m deep) and the snail-shaped Detský bazén Slimák (0.20-0.40 m), all at 30°C, plus the Dino children's slide. There are three children's playgrounds across the grounds with swings and a sandbox.

Sports & activities

The grounds include a 9-hole minigolf course, three beach volleyball courts, a football pitch and beach football, a newly built petanque court (15 x 6 m), giant chess by the Nitra river arm, and table tennis.

Dining

Catering centres on the Panoráma Beach restaurant, supported by four gastro stalls and four fast-food stalls (langoš, kebab), two ice-cream stalls, a coffee stall and a fruit stall.

Accommodation & setting

On-site apartments are available with a terrace, grilling facilities and gazebos. A separate indoor Relax komplex facility (Turecká 3, Nové Zámky) offers a covered pool, sauna and massage services.
