Termálne kúpalisko Komárno

Termálne kúpalisko Komárno is a thermal bath in Komárno, on the Danube at the Slovak-Hungarian border, operated by Comorra Servis s.r.o. The site presents itself as offering year-round bathing and stands inside the historic town centre, which the operator describes as the largest fortress complex in Europe. The database records the venue only as a numbered generic entry; the operator's own name is Termálne kúpalisko Komárno.

The thermal water comes from the M-2 well, 1060 m deep, from which water rises at 45.2 °C. In summer 2019 a balneologist from Piešťany assessed the composition; the operator describes the water as a natural sodium bicarbonate-chloride water with a higher content of fluorine and iodine and significant amounts of bromine and silicic acid, and compares its effects with the thermal water at Bardejovské Kúpele. The stated indications are disorders of the joints including rheumatoid arthritis, the locomotor system, the digestive tract, stomach, gall bladder and bile ducts, liver and pancreas, the urinary tract and kidneys, and gynaecological conditions. The operator notes that the tested well supplies thermal water to the indoor pool and to selected outdoor pools.

The pools page lists seven entries. The 33.3 by 19 m Castiglione swimming pool is 180 cm deep at 24-28 °C; a 21.25 by 10 m teaching pool runs 110-130 cm deep at 24-29 °C; a 25 by 15 m recreational non-swimmers' pool, 90-120 cm deep, reaches 25-30 °C; a children's pool 6.40 by 4.15 m and under 40 cm deep sits at 28-30 °C and has a mini fountain and an elephant-shaped slide; and a pair of outdoor seated relaxation pools, 30.25 by 8.30 m and 120 cm deep, hold water at 36-40 °C. All five of those are described as operating in the summer season only. Two facilities run outside summer: a pool with a movable roof, 20 by 7.70 m and no deeper than 120 cm, at 37-40 °C, which the operator says is usable all year and is fitted with stainless-steel waterfalls, air loungers, air seating and intensive hydromassage with air intake; and an indoor seated relaxation pool, 7.60 by 7.90 m and 115 cm deep, at 38-40 °C, described as operating in the winter season or in bad weather. A news item dated 1 September 2026 states that the summer season at Komárno has ended and two pools remain in operation, which matches those two. Note a contradiction between the operator's own pages: both the pools page and the thermal-water page describe the seven pools as making up the outdoor area, yet one of the seven listed is explicitly indoors.

The relaxation zone has a Finnish sauna with a capacity of up to 20 people, an infrared sauna, a rest room and a cooling pool. The sauna schedule published from 15 February 2022 reserves Monday 13:00-20:00 for women only, with Tuesday to Saturday 13:00-20:00 and Sunday 10:00-20:00 mixed. The site header gives opening hours as Monday to Sunday 10:00-20:00. Admission under the price list valid from 15 September 2021 is 3.50 EUR for an adult for two hours between 09:30 and 14:00, or 5.00 EUR for three hours from 09:30; pensioners pay 2.50 and 3.50 EUR and children aged 4 to 15 the same, ISIC and ITIC holders 3.00 and 4.00 EUR. A 15-entry season pass costs 60.00 EUR for adults, 45.00 EUR for pensioners and 46.00 EUR for children, and groups of 15 or more receive 20 per cent off the current tariff. A Stellplatz caravan parking area is also advertised.
