An open-air thermal bath in northern Slovakia where the sulphurous spring arrives at 38 °C and is used almost as it comes.

About

The thermal pools at Oravice lie in the Tichá valley below the Western Tatras, in the district of Tvrdošín in northern Slovakia. The site is run by the town of Tvrdošín and consists of two open-air pools fed directly by the local thermal spring.

The water

The venue counts the Oravice water among the significant thermal waters of Slovakia and describes it as a sulphate-calcium-magnesium water with a high iron content. According to the venue it suits complaints of the musculoskeletal system and of the urinary tract and kidneys.

Pools

Both pools are uncovered, and the water in them currently runs between 34 and 38 °C — warm enough that the site stays in use through the winter, with the Tatra ridge in view from the water.

Visiting

The bath is open daily from 11:00 to 20:00. An adult ticket is 10 EUR and children aged 6 to 15 pay 5 EUR, with under-sixes free; residents of Tvrdošín pay 3 EUR, or 2 EUR for children and seniors. The prices took effect on 25 December 2025.
