Tiszacsegei Termálstrand

Tiszacsegei Termálstrand is an open-air thermal bath in Tiszacsege, in eastern Hungary. It is built around a medicinal thermal spring and combines thermal soaking pools with a cold-water swimming pool and a sauna.

The water

The bath is supplied by hot water rising from a depth of 1,295 metres, with a temperature of 72 C at source. The site describes the water as an alkaline hydrogen-carbonate medicinal water that was officially designated as therapeutic water in 2000. According to the venue, the water is used in the treatment of muscular and rheumatic pains and of certain skin conditions.

Pools & saunas

There are two adult thermal pools, one shallow pool for children and one cold-water swimming pool. The venue states that the pools together can accommodate 1,300 people. A sauna is available, which the site notes requires advance booking.

Facilities

The bath provides 45 changing cabins, lounging chairs and snack bars. The site records a 120,000,000 HUF spa development investment in 2004, of which 50,000,000 HUF came from state funding.

Visiting

For the summer 2026 season the bath is closed on Mondays and open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 20:00, with ticket sales and the pools closing at 19:30. Under the price list effective 15 January 2025, adult entry is 2,600 HUF, while children aged 3 and over, students and seniors pay 2,400 HUF. A family ticket for two adults and one child is 7,000 HUF, afternoon tickets from 16:00 are 1,800 HUF, and a sauna ticket for one person is 2,600 HUF.
