Palatinus strandfürdő

The Palatinus Gyógy-, Strand- és Hullámfürdő lies on Margaret Island at 1007 Budapest, Margitsziget, and is run by Budapest Gyógyfürdői és Hévizei Zrt., the municipal company that also operates the Széchenyi bath. It is reached by bus 26, with the operator's own minibus running in the summer season. The bath combines an indoor medicinal section, a large outdoor beach complex of thermal, adventure and beach pools, a wave pool, a slide park, sports courts and a playground.

A site-wide notice on the operator's pages states that the wave pool, the outdoor thermal pools, the beach pool and the slides are not operating, and directs visitors to a separate page listing the services currently in use. This closure covers most of the outdoor attractions and should be treated as the current state of the venue rather than as an incidental note.

The indoor section holds a medicinal pool at 36 °C and 0.90 m deep, fitted with a lumbar massage function and carrying a recommended bathing time of twenty minutes, a pair of hot and cold medicinal plunge pools at 40-42 °C and 20-22 °C, and a children's pool at 32-34 °C with play elements and small slides. Under-fourteens may use the medicinal pool and the hot plunge pool only on medical prescription. Outdoors the operator lists a 40-metre swimming pool at 26 °C and 1.7-1.9 m deep, which is open all year and reached in winter through a heated corridor and where a bathing cap is compulsory; seated thermal pools at 32-36 °C available every day of the year; the Margaréta pool at 30-32 °C with a fountain and back and lumbar massage fittings; an outdoor children's pool at 30-32 °C, largely shaded; a beach pool at 30-32 °C; an adventure pool at 30-32 °C with a current channel, bubble jets, neck showers and massage jets; and thermal pools at 30-32 °C and 33-36 °C with sunbathing surfaces and underwater chessboards. The wave pool, when operating, runs at 28 °C to a depth of 2.8 m, with waves starting hourly from 10:40.

The sauna section has an aroma sauna at 50-60 °C and a Finnish sauna at 90-100 °C, each holding twelve people, and a steam cabin at 40-50 °C holding eight. Medical services available on referral include medicinal pool bathing, carbonated bath treatment, medical massage and underwater jet massage. The bath opens from 09:00 to 19:00 every day of the week.
