Agárdi Gyógy- és Termálfürdő

Agárdi Gyógy- és Termálfürdő is a medicinal and thermal bath at Agárd, in the town of Gárdony, Hungary. The complex combines seasonal outdoor pools with year-round indoor bathing, a sauna area, and a dedicated medical wing, and its thermal water is drawn from deep underground.

The water

The bath's thermal water is described as mineral-rich and is brought up from a depth of 1000 metres. It reaches the surface at 58°C and is cooled before use; it feeds the covered therapeutic pool, which is held at 35-36°C. The venue is a certified medicinal bath, reflected in its name ("gyógy-", meaning medicinal). Medical care at the site is built around rheumatology, and the facility provides balneotherapy, physiotherapy and dry therapeutic exercise.

Pools & saunas

The bath operates four pools across indoor and outdoor areas. Outdoors, a family experience pool of 450 m² runs at 32-34°C with depths from 0 to 119 cm, including shallow children's zones, toddler areas, slides, water features and massage sections for adults; it opens for the summer season. A 300 m² outdoor thermal pool, kept at 32-34°C with depths of 90-100 cm, stays open year-round. Indoors, a covered family experience pool of 180 m² runs at 33-34°C (depths 50-100 cm) with massage elements, water jets, geysers and a children's paddling section with a slide, while the covered therapeutic pool of 320 m² is held at 35-36°C (depths 90-100 cm) and is set aside for health treatments without entertainment features. A sauna area is also part of the complex.

Facilities

Beyond bathing, the site offers a medical/therapeutic department, private bath rental, children's programmes including baby and toddler swimming lessons, outdoor playground areas, a restaurant and food service, a beauty and sports boutique, and a camping facility. Payment by SZÉP card is accepted.

Visiting

The bath is open daily from 8:00 to 20:00 (hours valid from 19 June 2026), with the ticket office closing one hour before the bath. The sauna operates Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 19:30 and on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 19:30. Medical treatments run on weekdays from 8:00 to 16:20. Guests are asked to leave the pools 15 minutes and the saunas 30 minutes before closing, and schedules may vary during holidays and school breaks.
