About

The Ceglédi Gyógyfürdő és Szabadidőközpont lies at Fürdő út 27-29 in Cegléd, postcode 2700, in Pest county, and is run by Ceglédi Termálfürdő Üzemeltető Kft. The operator states that the basis of the bath is thermal water rising from a depth of more than 1000 metres at 54 C, declared medicinal water in 2004. It is classed with the sodium-chloride-hydrogen-carbonate and fluoride and iodide medicinal waters and is said to suit locomotor, rheumatic, digestive and dermatological conditions and the rehabilitation of nerve pathways, with the stimulus of bathing cures also activating the immune defences. The published analysis gives, in mg/l, potassium 4, sodium 590, ammonium 7.2, calcium 6.3, magnesium 1, iron 0.12 and lithium 0.04 for a cation sum of 609; chloride 400, bromide 1.11, iodide 1, fluoride 1.15, hydrogen carbonate 980, sulphide 0.4 and total phosphate 0.39 for an anion sum of 1384; and metaboric acid 14, metasilicic acid 36 and free carbonic acid 20.9, for a total of 2064 mg/l.

Thirteen pools are listed. In the covered bath there are an experience pool at 28-30 C (155 m2, 1.1 m deep), a children's pool at 30-32 C (25 m2, 0.3-0.4 m), a seated medicinal pool I at 34-36 C (33 m2, 0.9 m) and a seated medicinal pool II at 36-38 C (46 m2, 0.9 m, fitted with a patient hoist). The outdoor section, headed as running in the summer season only, lists a swimming pool at 26-28 C (700 m2, 2.1-2.5 m, with a patient hoist), seated medicinal pool IV at 34-36 C (99.7 m2, 0.95-1 m), a fifth pool given as 34-36 C out of season and 28-30 C in season (99.7 m2, 0.95-1 m) — both of these described as new pools operating all year, which contradicts the section heading — a further seated medicinal pool at 34-36 C (100 m2, 0.9 m, with a patient hoist), a wave pool at 26-28 C (202 m2, 1.1-1.4 m), a second experience pool at 28-30 C (228 m2, 1.0-1.4 m) and a second children's pool at 28-30 C (50 m2, 0.3-0.4 m). The therapy wing adds a physiotherapy pool and a weight-bath pool, both 32-34 C and 1.1 m deep and both with a patient hoist. Treatments supported by the national health insurer are offered alongside paid exercise classes, therapies and group therapeutic swimming for under-18s, with appointments through a medical dispatcher on weekdays 8:00 to 16:00.

The sauna area was refurbished with new tiling and a crushed-ice machine and holds a Finnish sauna, an infrared sauna, the ice machine, a bucket shower and, newly, a 20-person Csillagfény sauna that runs at weekends; sauna-master sessions run on announced dates for a supplement. The site also includes the Aqua Centrum slide park, which ran from 13 June to 30 August 2026 with the Dragon slide starting later in the day, an adventure park with rope courses closed in rain, an apartment park and campsite, a children's island and baby-and-mother nook, swimming lessons for children, a function room and a lakeside craft and producers' market. The bath opens Monday to Sunday 09:00 to 19:00, with the cash desk closing at 18:00 and the pools at 18:45, and night bathing every Saturday from 20:00 to 24:00, when the covered bath's pools are fully usable while the outdoor pools run only partly and depending on the weather. The operator warns that unfavourable weather can partly limit the outdoor pools, and that the off-season began on 1 September.
