Aqua Land Termál- és Élményfürdő

Aqua Land Termál- és Élményfürdő occupies a site of nearly five hectares on Csepel Island at Ráckeve and is operated year-round by the Karczagi family, who hold the area under an agreement with the municipality dating from March 2005. The operator states that the bath began operating under the name Aqua Land Termál-, és Élményfürdő in 2005. The site's own history page traces the water back further: in 1973 an oil-prospecting company drilled on the site and struck thermal water instead of oil; locals bathed in a concrete basin built around the wellhead, and by 1975 a thermal lido with two sitting pools and a children's pool had been built by the water authority. A glass-fibre indoor pool and two saunas followed in the early 1980s. The facility deteriorated through the 1990s and both the indoor section and the open-air lido were closed in the early 2000s before the present operator rebuilt it; the slide park was handed over to guests in July 2005.

The water comes from a well drilled in 1973 that delivers thermal water of 47 degrees Celsius from a depth of 1,040 metres. The operator reproduces the certification history: because the water exceeds both the 30 °C threshold and the 1,000 mg per litre ion-content limit, the national directorate for spa affairs first classified it as a thermal mineral water, and after research and laboratory analysis in 2007 declared it a medicinal water (gyógyvíz) on 6 December 2007. The published analysis gives a total of 1,328 mg per litre. Dominant ions are hydrogencarbonate at 804 mg/L and sodium at 343 mg/L, with chloride at 101 mg/L, potassium 14.0, calcium 9.7, magnesium 3, ammonium 3.6 and fluoride 0.3 mg/L; trace constituents listed include metaboric acid at 3.2 mg/L and metasilicic acid (silicon dioxide) at 29 mg/L. Two pools carry the medicinal water: outdoor pool number III beside the Tókert Csárda, and an indoor medicinal leisure pool with bubble features.

Indications given by the operator for a bathing course are disc disorders, degenerative spinal and limb joint disease, chronic soft-tissue rheumatism, tendon, tendon-sheath, bursa and ligament inflammation, chronic synovitis, chronic tennis or golfer's elbow, calcium deficiency of the bones, chronic ovarian, periuterine and prostate inflammation, chronic dermatitis and psoriasis, along with preparation for restricted joint movement and aftercare following operations and injuries. A list of contraindications is published alongside, and a single bath treatment is limited to a maximum of 30 minutes. Medical services are a registered treatment site and available at list price or on NEAK referral.

The complex is described by the operator as six parts: thermal and medicinal bathing in indoor and outdoor sitting and leisure pools; the Aqua Park with its slide park; the indoor bath, whose pools are a four-lane tensioned-surface swimming pool, a family leisure pool and a medicinal-water leisure pool; the Vitál Központ sauna centre, which runs themed sauna programmes with qualified sauna masters almost all year and holds swimwear-free sauna evenings three times a week (Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) with a cold plunge pool and a tepidarium with warm stone beds; medical and massage services with more than forty massage types; and on-site accommodation in the Faházas Villapark and Thermal Camping, open all year. The operator does not publish a total pool count or a sauna count.

Operating pattern at the time of reading: the general schedule is stated as valid from 7 September 2026 until further notice. The Aqua Park, the front part of the lido, closed for the season on 6 September 2026. Three outdoor pools remain open all year — the Kevei medicinal sitting pool, the Onsen thermal leisure pool and the Caracalla thermal leisure pool — with the Aqua Cinema programme running from the Caracalla pool on Thursday 16.00-20.00, Friday and Saturday 16.00-01.00 and Sunday 16.00-23.00. The indoor sections close at 20.00 from Monday to Thursday, and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday follow the sauna evenings and night bathing. One inconsistency on that same page should be noted: the schedule is announced as effective from 7 September 2026, while the page simultaneously states that the indoor bath is closed for annual maintenance between 24 August and 18 September 2026, so the two statements overlap and the page does not reconcile them.
