About

Gyémánt Fürdő is a thermal and family adventure bath at Tatabánya, in the Central Transdanubia region of Hungary — the name means Diamond Bath.

The water

The water comes from only 166 metres below the surface at 38 °C. That is shallow for a Hungarian thermal well, where a kilometre or more is usual. Across the bath the pools run from 24 to 38 °C.

Pools

Four basins are held at 36-38 °C: the indoor experience pool of 166 m², 90 to 120 cm deep; the outdoor experience pool of 252.8 m² at the same depth, open from May to September and fitted with a current river, massage jets and a bubble bath; a sitting pool of 50.8 m²; and a 13 m² jacuzzi, 90 cm deep. The children's pool holds 75.5 m² at 30-32 °C and 60 cm, with a toddler splash pool of 23 m² at the same temperature but only 15 cm deep. The slide landing pool is the coolest at 24-27 °C, 67.5 m² and 120 cm deep.

Slides

Two indoor slides, each more than 30 metres long.
