The bath lies at Bad Buchau in Upper Swabia and belongs to the Gesundheitszentrum Federsee. Its seven thermal pools cover 1,100 m² of water at a uniform wading depth of about 1.30 m: indoors a therapy pool at 28 to 32 °C, a relaxation pool at 35 °C, a whirlpool at 36 to 37 °C and a movement pool at 32 °C; outdoors a pool with a current channel at 35 °C, one with bubble loungers at 36 °C and a sports pool at 28 to 32 °C. The sauna world holds seven cabins, from a 55 °C sanarium to a 95 °C earth sauna.

The water comes from the ground. The operator states that it rises from the Adelindis spring, drawn from a depth of 800 metres, that it leaves the earth at 47 °C and that it has been a state-recognised Heilwasser since 1989. It is described as an Akratotherme — undiluted, with less than 1 g of dissolved salts per kilogram — and as rich in hydrogen sulphide; the analysis gives pH 7.33, hydrogencarbonate 314.9 mg/l and sulphide 1.6 mg/l. On the operator's account the water is applied for complaints of the musculoskeletal system, rheumatic conditions, and after joint operations and joint replacement.

Day visitors are admitted on an ordinary ticket, with no prescription needed, through the Thermenweg entrance with its free parking. The bath is open daily 10:00 to 22:00 and the sauna from 13:00, with the event sauna running to midnight on the last Friday of each month. Admission is from age 14; children from 6 only when accompanied, and only at weekends, on public holidays and in Baden-Württemberg school holidays.
