Tauris Freizeitbad

The Tauris leisure bath stands in Mülheim-Kärlich, in the German state of Rheinland-Pfalz. It opened in 1991 and was operated on the city's behalf by Aquapark Management West GmbH. Following a city council decision citing budget constraints, operations were discontinued on 30 June 2023, and the park has remained closed while the city seeks an investor for renovations.

Pools

Its facilities included a sports pool with five 25-metre lanes at 27 °C and a leisure pool at 29 °C fitted with a giant slide 63 metres long, a whitewater current channel with a geyser, and monkey bars. There were also a children's paddling pool at 32 °C, a warm-water pool at 33 °C, three hot whirlpools at 35 °C and a year-round outdoor pool at 30 °C.

Sauna

The sauna landscape, rated SaunaPremium***** by the Deutscher Sauna-Bund, held an outdoor sauna, Finnish saunas among them the Feuer-Sauna and the Vulkan-Sauna with hourly steam infusions, a cherry-blossom steam bath, an aromasauna, a caldarium, a sanarium, a cold-plunge pool and a sauna garden. The complex also had a restaurant, and a cafeteria served food in both the bathing and sauna areas.
