Freizeitbad Netphen

The Freizeitbad is one section of the N-FLOW Freizeitpark Obernautal in Netphen, Brauersdorfer Strasse 62, a complex that also holds a trampoline arena, a fitness studio, a soccer park and a squash court. The water is not thermal and not mineral. The operator uses the words Thermalbad and Thermalbecken as the name of one basin, but describes it plainly as a heated outdoor pool: the hall plan says the Thermalbecken with massage jets stands in the outdoor area and is heated in winter too. No spring, no borehole, no source temperature and no water analysis appear anywhere on the operator's pages, and no water temperature is published for any basin. It is heated pool water throughout.

The indoor hall is described as modernised and open all year, with an extra lane set aside for sport swimmers. Its sports pool is 25 metres long, up to 3.5 metres deep and has four lanes; the hall also holds a non-swimmer pool, an indoor paddling pool and diving boards at 1 and 3 metres. The open-air bath, open in summer, has its own sports pool of 50 metres with six lanes, its own 1- and 3-metre boards, an outdoor paddling pool (marked as still closed) and a large lawn with shade trees. The giant slide is 93 metres long, curved and fitted with special effects; the operator notes that it discharges into the open-air pool in summer and into the indoor hall in winter, and that from Monday to Friday it opens only from 14:30. The lane for performance-oriented swimmers opens on Saturdays only at 10:45 because of courses. An indoor steam bath completes the water side.

The sauna world is described as a four-star sauna landscape open all year with indoor and outdoor parts and a natural garden. The operator enumerates its cabins rather than totalling them: a Panoramasauna, the largest and the infusion sauna, a log-built Finnish design with 25 seats at about 90 °C and 10 % humidity; a Biosauna, 25 seats at about 60 °C and 60 % humidity with changing light therapy; a rustic Landhaussauna, 25 seats at about 85 °C; a barrel sauna, the smallest, 4 seats at about 70 °C and currently open only Friday to Sunday under an energy-saving plan; a Kelo sauna built by Finnish craftsmen from 300-year-old trunks, about 22 seats at about 90 °C; and an octagonal Kotasauna with herb branches hung from the ceiling, about 14 seats at about 70 °C. A steam bath with 9 seats runs at about 42 °C and up to 100 % humidity. Alongside these are a heated bench with four foot basins, experience showers with a cascade shower, rain shower, Kneipp hose, plunge pool and ice fountain, a rest room with 9 loungers and a second on the ground floor, a sauna bar, and a Kota rest house with an open fire at the end of the sauna garden.

At the time of writing the site carried two statements that do not agree, and both were plainly rendered rather than hidden in the markup. A notice headed Revision 2026 says that from Monday 7 September to Sunday 20 September the annual overhaul runs in the Freizeitbad and the sauna world and that both areas are closed; the opening-hours block on the same page marks the indoor hall as currently closed for short-notice maintenance but adds in a footnote that the Thermalbecken and the indoor steam bath remain open. Outside that window the open-air bath is listed as open daily 10:00–20:00 and the sauna world Monday to Sunday 10:00–19:45. Admission to the bath is 8.00 € on weekdays and 9.00 € at weekends for a day ticket, 6.00 € and 7.00 € reduced for under-18s, with a separate open-air tariff of 4.00 € and evening rates from 18:00 of 5.70 € and 6.70 €; family tariffs run from 11.20 € for one adult and one child. The sauna costs 26.50 € for a day and 22.90 € for three hours, 22.50 € and 20.00 € for young people. No opening year is published.
