Schwaketenbad

Schwaketenbad is the indoor leisure bath of Konstanz, run by the city's bath operator alongside the Bodensee-Therme and the Rheinstrandbad; the operator calls it "das größte Freizeitbad am Bodensee" and describes it as more than a Hallenbad. The bath holds six different pools, which the operator does not break down individually on the pages reachable here: named on the overview are a sports area for lane swimming, a diving pool with a tower from which guests jump from five metres, a non-swimmer pool with a small slide, and a large children's area with a water playground for toddlers. The whole building is described as barrier-free, with the bath's own wheelchairs and a pool lift for getting into the water.

The two big slides are named Uris and Ried and run through tube courses with light effects. The operator contradicts itself on which is which length: the overview text on the home page and on the Schwimmbad erleben page says the pair run "100 beziehungsweise 123 Meter" in the order Uris then Ried, while the slide page's own sections state that Uris is the 123-metre tyre slide through a blue tube and that Ried, the green tube on which up to three people can ride side by side, is "knapp hundert Meter". Both descriptions agree on the two lengths, roughly 100 m and 123 m, and on the character of each slide; only the pairing of name to length differs. Uris has a minimum age of 8, or 6 accompanied by an adult; Ried has a minimum age of 8.

The relaxation area is a steam bath and an infrared room, not a sauna world. The steam bath reaches an interior temperature of 45 degrees at 100 percent humidity, with a recommended stay of 10 to 20 minutes, and its use is included in the admission price. The infrared cabin seats four, reaches 30 to 44 degrees, costs 3 euros per 20 minutes and is recommended for 15 to 30 minutes. The page adds that thermal pools and a textile-free sauna landscape are available at the Bodensee-Therme Konstanz, which it names as a partner venue; those belong to that separate bath, not to Schwaketenbad. Catering is by the Restaurant Tabor inside the building. Free water gymnastics runs Tuesday to Thursday at 8:00 and 8:30.

The bath is open all year: Monday 9:00 to 21:00, Tuesday to Thursday 7:00 to 21:00, Friday and Saturday 9:00 to 21:00, Sundays and public holidays 9:00 to 20:00, with the till and admission closing an hour before and the pools cleared 20 minutes before closing. Admission is sold by duration. A 1.5-hour ticket is 6.50 euro for adults and 5.00 euro reduced on weekdays, 7.50 and 6.00 euro at weekends and on holidays; three hours is 9.00 / 7.50 euro on weekdays and 10.00 / 8.50 euro at weekends; a day ticket is 11.00 / 9.50 euro on weekdays and 12.00 / 10.50 euro at weekends, with family tariffs published for each duration and an overstay charge of 1.00 euro per started 30 minutes. Holders of a Konstanz Sozialpass pay half the single-entry tariff. An annual Bäderpass at 435.00 euro for adults covers Schwaketenbad, the Rheinstrandbad and the Bodensee-Therme open-air bath. Two operator pages that would give the individual pools and the water playground in detail (/schwimmbad-erleben/schwimmbecken and /schwimmbad-erleben/wasserspielplatz) return HTTP 406 and could not be read, so no pool sizes or water temperatures are stated here.
