About

Schwaben Therme is a thermal bathing and sauna complex in Aulendorf, in south-west Germany. It draws on naturally warm mineral water and pairs a quiet thermal bathing area with a family-oriented activity pool, an extensive sauna landscape, wellness treatments and its own hotel.

The water

The thermal water rises from a depth of roughly 1,200 metres and reaches the surface at about 54.5°C. It is a sulphur- and fluoride-bearing water; among the stated mineral values are fluoride, chloride, hydrogen carbonate, sodium and calcium. According to the venue, the water is used for the musculature and circulation, and for chronic joint conditions as well as rheumatism and allergies. The site's salt grotto is described as addressing breathing, blood pressure and the skin.

Pools

The thermal bath comprises indoor and outdoor basins kept at about 34°C, alongside a warmer Jungbrunnen feature at around 40°C and a toddler pool at about 34°C. A separate fun and activity pool is held at roughly 28°C and includes three 25-metre lanes, water slides and a current channel. The complex also has a whirlpool, massage jets, loungers and a poolside bar.

Saunas & wellness

The sauna landscape offers six saunas at graded temperatures: a Kultsauna at 90°C with changing infusions, a Medi-Sauna at 80°C with meditative music, an Alpspitz sauna at 75°C, a bio sauna at 65°C, a Hüttensauna at 60°C and a steam sauna at 45°C. Additional facilities include a salt grotto, a solarium, an infrared cabin, and wellness services such as massages and facial treatments.

Staying & dining

Schwaben Therme has an attached hotel offering double rooms, four-bed rooms and a deluxe suite, and provides on-site dining.
