Ossendorfbad

The Ossendorfbad is a municipal combined bath in the Ossendorf district of Cologne, at Äußere Kanalstr. 191, run by KölnBäder GmbH. The operator describes it as bath, sauna and fitness under one roof. The water is plain heated pool water: the operator names no spring, no thermal water and no brine bathing water anywhere in the bath, and a sweep of the bath page for Therme, Thermal, Sole, Grad and degree symbols returned no hits at all. The one warm-water distinction the operator does draw is the four-seasons pool, which it lists among its facilities and, on its accessibility page comparing all its baths, names together with the Zollstockbad as a pool kept pleasantly tempered - the other Cologne baths, it says, offer no special warm-bathing days or warm pools.

The facilities matrix for this bath alone lists a four-seasons pool, an outdoor pool, a fitness area, a children's paddling pool, a teaching pool, a slide and a sauna, and the operator's own keyword line for the bath calls it an indoor bath and a combined bath. The attraction tiles name an indoor swimming hall, the outdoor pool in summer, a water slide, the fitness area and water gymnastics. The bath is listed among the combined and open-air baths where a summer tariff comes into force during the defined open-air bathing season, so the outdoor part is seasonal while the hall runs on through the year. The bathing landscape is step-free, with a mobile hoist that can also be used outdoors, and no advance booking is needed for a visit with a wheelchair. Catering offers more than 90 seats spread across the foyer, the swimming hall, the terrace and the outdoor area.

The sauna is the bath's own, at the same street address and with its own admission, not a shared facility of the operator's other baths. It is enumerated rather than counted: an infusion sauna in which essential oils are poured onto the stove together with ice balls, a low-temperature meditation sauna with colour-light simulation, an event sauna with light and sound, and a steam bath, alongside a plunge pool, an ice fountain, cold-water areas indoors and out, experience showers, a foot reflexology walk, a rest room and a sauna garden. The sauna garden holds a cold plunge pool, sails for shelter from rain and sun, a light court and a graduation tower, a timber frame packed with blackthorn bundles over which brine evaporates to create a sea-like climate; this brine is for breathing, not for bathing. Massage and beauty treatments are offered in the sauna area through a contract partner. Wednesday is a women's day. Last admission is one hour before closing for the bath and two hours before closing for the sauna. Parking is free for the first hour for guests, then charged.

The operator publishes daily opening times and per-bath prices only through a date-driven widget that returns nothing to a plain page fetch, so no times or admission figures are recorded here. Among the discounts that do apply to this bath are a birthday tariff giving free entry without time limit on the visitor's birthday, an early-swimmer reduction of 0.50 euro for admission up to 07:30, and a moonlight tariff in the sauna when fewer than three hours remain before closing.
