Moselbad

Moselbad is part of the Freizeitzentrum Cochem on the Mosel river, combining an indoor water park with a seasonal outdoor pool on the same site. The operator states that the Moselbad Cochem site has 14 pools and 2,700 cubic meters of water surface in total. The indoor hall, called Hallen-Wellenbad / Erlebnisbad, is built for both lap swimmers and visitors seeking action: it has a 55-meter water slide, a wave feature in the main pool, and a waterfall. A separate domed area called Kinderland is designed for families with small children, with a baby pool no deeper than 20 centimeters, a warm lounging area, a whirlpool, a quiet zone, a baby rest room and a diaper-changing room. A bistro-restaurant on site serves pizza, pasta and other food after swimming. The outdoor Freibad Cochem on the same grounds operates seasonally, closed outside the pre- and main season. The operator does not mention a sauna or any wellness area anywhere on the site; the offer is built around swimming, slides and the children's pool rather than bathing culture. The same operator also runs two further seasonal outdoor pools in other towns, Ellenz-Poltersdorf and Treis-Karden, but those are listed as separate facilities.
