Freizeitbad Nautilla

Nautilla is the leisure pool of Illertissen in Bavarian Swabia, run by Freizeitbad Nautilla Betriebs GmbH at Gottfried-Hart-Str. 6, 89257 Illertissen. The operator describes it as offering bathing „seit knapp 30 Jahren“ and gives annual attendance as around 300,000 guests. Most of the water is plain heated pool water; the one exception is the outdoor pool, which the operator calls a Sole-Außenbecken, that is a brine pool. There is no thermal spring and no mineral water claim: the pages name no well, no source temperature and no mineral content.

The indoor bathing hall holds a daylit swimming pool 25 m long and 1.25 m to 1.85 m deep with six separable lanes at 28 °C; a non-swimmer pool 1.35 m deep at a raised 30 °C, with a children's slide in it; an adventure section built round the Illerstrudel current channel, with massage showers and a waterfall; and a warm pool at 35 °C. The brine outdoor pool is kept at 34 °C, which the operator presents as usable in winter weather, and has underwater massage jets and air-bubble loungers. A covered water slide ends in its own landing pool; its length is given inconsistently on the same page, as 53 m in the introduction and as 52 m in the slide's own description. The small-children's area combines a paddling zone at 32 °C with a water playground — an elephant slide, an action machine, a play boat and a water-spouting Superphyton — and a newly added splashpad of water cannons and spray effects. Accessible from the bathing hall rather than the sauna, and so included in the bathing ticket, are a steam sauna at 40 °C, an infrared cabin and a Kneipp walking basin.

The sauna landscape is separately priced and enumerated rather than counted: a 32 sqm Scandinavian Saunakota outdoors at well over 100 °C, a large outdoor log-house Almsauna at 90 °C with infusions on the hour, a meditation sauna at 60 °C with colour light and music, a Waldsauna at 80 °C with 2–5 per cent humidity, an infrared salt-inhalation room, Physiotherm infrared cabins and a salt steam bath at 47–50 °C with 100 per cent humidity. It is served by a rest house with an open fire, quiet rooms, a sauna garden and a fully biological natural swimming pond used year-round for cooling down. Regular themed evenings run from 19.00 to midnight: Saunanächte with nudity permitted throughout the bath from 19.00, and Ladies Only evenings with nudity from 22.00.

The bathing and sauna landscape is closed on Mondays and otherwise open Tuesday to Saturday 09–22 and Sunday 09–20, with last admission 60 minutes before the end of bathing time. Bathing admission is 10.00 euro for two hours, 12.00 for four and 13.00 for a day ticket for adults; 9.00, 11.00 and 12.00 reduced; 6.50, 8.50 and 9.50 for children aged 6 to 12; and 25.00, 29.00 and 32.00 for a family of two adults and three children aged 6 to 17, with a one-off weekend and holiday surcharge of 1.50 euro for adults, 0.50 for children and 3.00 for families. The sauna landscape, which includes use of the bathing landscape when open, costs 20.00, 22.00 and 23.00 euro for adults, 19.00, 21.00 and 22.00 reduced, and 45.00, 49.00 and 52.00 for families. An annual Nauti-Clubcard at 99 to 189 euro gives 40 per cent off single admissions.
