თბილისის ბალნეოლოგიური კურორტი

The Tbilisi Balneological Spa Resort (თბილისის ბალნეოლოგიური კურორტი), also known as the Balneological Institute, stands on Vakhtang Gorgasali Street at the edge of Abanotubani. The resort states that it has served health since 1938, and that its building was listed as a cultural heritage monument in 1998. Where the rest of the quarter is private bath houses hired by the hour, this is a treatment institution: procedures are prescribed and carried out under the supervision of its own doctors and specialists.

Water and mud

The resort treats with Tbilisi's thermal-sulphurous mineral water and with therapeutic mud of volcanic origin. It does not publish a temperature or a full analysis.
