Terme Sveti Martin

Terme Sveti Martin is a thermal spa resort in Sveti Martin na Muri, in the Međimurje region of northern Croatia. It draws on a thermo-mineral water that the resort describes as 43,000 years old and used since 1911, giving it a roughly 100-year tradition of bath tourism. The water has an average temperature of 35°C, a high degree of mineralization, and is rich in lithium, selenium and potassium. The resort presents itself as the first “healthness” resort in Europe, combining thermal bathing with locally sourced organic food, wellness and recreation.

Thermal water & health

The thermo-mineral water is said to stimulate the body to fight inflammations, infections and ailments, and to help with gynecological, metabolic and psychosomatic conditions. The centrepiece is the indoor thermal pool complex called the Temple of Life, designed according to the spiritual philosophy of Rudolf Steiner, where the 35°C water is described as restoring a feeling of lightness and vitality.

Pools

The resort includes a complex of indoor pools filled with thermal water and a summer aquapark, MartiLandia. The wellness area adds indoor and outdoor pools with underwater massage and relaxation beds, plus a whirlpool.

Sauna & wellness world

The wellness oasis covers 1,800 m² and features dry and steam saunas, a whirlpool, an ice cave and a cold cooling well, a themed relaxation area and a refreshment corner. The dry Finnish sauna runs at 90–100°C with about 10% humidity, while the steam sauna is kept at around 50°C with 100% humidity. More than 20 different massage and sauna treatments are offered.

Hotel & dining

The resort comprises an apartment complex and a 4-star hotel set in the heart of Međimurje near hills and nature. Dining options include the Falat board restaurant serving local, healthy and modern cuisine prepared with products from more than 30 local organic farmers and growers, the a la carte restaurant Le Batat, and a summer restaurant and patisserie in the MartiLandia aquapark.
