Kehida Termál is a thermal and medicinal spa complex in Kehidakustány, western Hungary, built on sulphuric medicinal water that emerges from the source at 49°C and is cooled to 34-37°C for its pools. It combines a medical bath, an adventure bath, a seasonal outdoor beach bath, a sauna world and a premium wellness section, alongside on-site accommodation and dining.

About

Kehida Termál is a thermal and medicinal bath complex in Kehidakustány, in Hungary's Zala Valley (8784 Kehidakustány, Kossuth Lajos u. 62). It is organised into several distinct bathing areas fed by the site's medicinal water, together with a sauna world, a wellness section, accommodation and catering. Most bathing facilities are open daily from 09:00 to 20:00.

Medicinal water

According to the spa, the water rises from its source at 49°C and is cooled to roughly 34-36°C for use in the pools. The site describes it as rich in calcium-magnesium and hydrogen carbonate, with a sulphide ion content of 3.2-3.3 mg/l, which classifies it as a sulphuric medicinal water; the spa states that it does not contain radon.

Medical bath and indications

The medical bath (gyógyfürdő) offers both outdoor pools with medicinal water (a sitting pool and a swimming pool) and an indoor section that includes a thermal pool with a traction/weight bath, a neck shower, a round sitting pool at 32-36°C, and a pool lift for guests with disabilities. The spa lists indications for rheumatic and musculoskeletal disorders, neurological disorders, skin diseases, recovery after musculoskeletal surgery, osteoporosis, and rehabilitation after orthopaedic injuries. Available treatments include physiotherapeutic treatments, medicinal massage and medical gymnastics under specialist supervision. A drinking cure is also offered from a fountain in the Silence Room, described as beneficial for digestive complaints.

Adventure bath

The indoor adventure bath (élményfürdő) contains several pools, including an adventure pool at 32°C, a jacuzzi island at 36°C, a tube slide at 32°C, a children's pool with slide at 35°C, and a lazy river with a diving pool at 32°C.

Outdoor beach bath

The outdoor beach bath (strandfürdő), which operates seasonally and is closed from 10 January to 30 April, features a children's paddling pool at 35°C, an outdoor adventure pool at 29°C, a wave pool at 27°C, two swimming pools at 29°C and 26°C, and covered and open sitting pools with medicinal water at 37°C and 35°C.

Sauna world and wellness

The Sauna World includes multiple saunas with daily sauna-infusion sessions (such as oil-and-salt, chamomile skin-rejuvenation and beer infusions), a jacuzzi at 36°C, and a Kneipp treading/cold-plunge pool at 20°C. A separate premium area, Aurum Wellness & Spa, is open daily from 09:00 to 17:30. A fitness room and beauty services (cosmetics, manicure-pedicure and hairdressing) are also available.

Accommodation, dining and other facilities

On-site and adjacent accommodation includes the Kehida Termál Hotel, the Kehida Holiday Village and the Hertelendy House. Dining options include Restaurant Deák (07:00-22:00), a coffee shop, a snack bar, a gift shop, and a seasonal beach buffet. The complex also offers baby- and family-friendly facilities (including a baby paddling pool, baby slide and playground), an air-conditioned conference room for up to 120 people, and a 22 kW AC charger for electric vehicles.

Prices

Adult all-day tickets are priced at 5,600 Ft in the off-season and 6,400 Ft in the main season, with reduced tickets for children (ages 6-13.99) and seniors (65+); children under six may use the adventure bath free of charge. The spa notes that the main season applies to Fridays, Saturdays, school holidays and national holidays.
