Terme Zreče

Terme Zreče is a spa resort in the town of Zreče, below the Pohorje uplands in Slovenia. It combines bathing and wellness with a medical department that works with the area's natural healing factors.

The water

The water is acratothermal, and the operator names calcium, magnesium and bicarbonate among its minerals. It fills indoor and outdoor thermal pools. The spa counts two further healing factors: the central mountain climate and Pohorje peat.

Saunas and wellness

The sauna village, Savna vas, has saunas built with Pohorje wood and stone, and sauna masters run guided sessions. The Idila Wellness & Spa Centre is laid out as four themed worlds and offers energy, oriental and other massages. A fitness centre has cardio and strength machines.

Medical care

The medical side covers physiotherapy, including hydrotherapy and kinesiotherapy, and rehabilitation for patients with severe locomotor impairment, with or without a referral. There are specialist clinics, doctors and a nursing department.

Visiting

Guests stay at Hotel Atrij Superior or Hotel Vital (both four-star), Hotel Klasik or Hotel Medico (three-star), or the four-star Villas Terme Zreče. The restaurants serve Pohorje cooking, and there are activities for children. Nearby Rogla is used for cycling, hiking and Nordic walking, and in winter for skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
