Terme Olimia is a thermal spa resort in Podčetrtek, Slovenia, built around thermal water drawn from wells 520 metres deep, with several wellness worlds, an outdoor water park and on-site hotels. Its wellness areas include the award-winning Wellness Orhidelia, the Family Wellness Termalija and the Thermal Park Aqualuna.

About

Terme Olimia is a thermal spa resort in Podčetrtek, Slovenia, in the Obsotelje and Kozjansko region. It combines several distinct wellness worlds, an outdoor thermal water park, spa and treatment centres, a health centre and a range of on-site accommodation, all built around the site's natural thermal water.

The water

According to the resort, the thermal water is drawn from dedicated wells and springs at a depth of 520 metres. At the source it emerges at temperatures between 24 °C and 44 °C, and the pools are kept between roughly 30 °C and 37 °C. The site describes the water as low in overall mineral content, containing magnesium, calcium and hydrogen carbonates, and characterises it as mildly radioactive and drinkable. The resort states that bathing in and using the water helps relieve muscle tension and increase blood flow to the tissues, and it offers thermal water therapies and guided pool exercises.

Pools & wellness worlds

The resort is organised into several separate areas. Wellness Orhidelia, which the site says has operated for over a decade, offers indoor and outdoor thermal pools with features such as geysers, a slow river, a light cave, underwater music and the Amita water bar serving local wine; it also has a sauna area including the Mamosa steam sauna. The Family Wellness Termalija is presented as the first and largest family wellness in Slovenia and is divided into Termalija Family Fun, Termalija Relax and a Sauna world, and includes an indoor sand-and-water playground on its first floor. The Thermal Park Aqualuna is an outdoor water park with more than 3,000 m² of water surface and ten slides, ranging from the 110-metre Giant Slide and the fast King Cobra and Kamikaze slides to two gentle children's slides for the youngest visitors.

Facilities

Beyond the pools, the resort operates spa and treatment areas including Spa Armonia and Wellness Vodian, along with Spa & Beauty offerings, and the Health Centre Olimia, which the site says provides both modern and alternative medicine. Accommodation on site includes several hotels and other options such as Hotel Sotelia, Vilinia, Breza and Rosa, Village Lipa, Glamping Olimia, Camp Natura and Canisia. The resort states that Wellness Orhidelia has won a Best Wellness award for ten consecutive years, most recently noted in 2019.
