About
Thermal Park Vrbov is a geothermal bathing complex in the village of Vrbov in the Poprad district of north-eastern Slovakia, run by SALMOTHERM - Invest, s.r.o. The operator's own name for the site is Thermal Park Vrbov; the database entry uses the generic descriptor Termálne kúpalisko Vrbov. The water is drawn from two bores, well no. 1 from a depth of 1742 m and well no. 2 from 2502 m. The operator gives the surface temperature of the geothermal water as 56 °C from well no. 1 and 59 °C from well no. 2, and classifies the chemistry as calcium-magnesium, bicarbonate, sulphate, warm and hypotonic. Total mineralisation is stated as 3.7-3.9 g/l for well no. 1 and 3.9-4.1 g/l for well no. 2. The published analysis lists, among other components, 487.0 and 505.0 mg/l of calcium, 147.1 and 153.2 mg/l of magnesium, 601.0 and 621.0 mg/l of sulphate and 2196.0 and 2257.0 mg/l of bicarbonate for the two wells, with pH 6.5 and 6.45.
The complex contains nine pools, three of them for children, and the operator states that water temperature in the pools ranges from 26 °C to 38 °C. During the winter season four pools with geothermal and clear water are available; a site notice for the 2026 off-season, beginning 14 September 2026, names these as the Prieplavový (channel), Motýľ (butterfly), Plavecký (swimming) and Sedací (seated) pools. A water slide, the Tobogan, is part of the summer offering. On-site accommodation is available within the complex, and Thai massages, catering and a photo gallery are listed among the services. Keyword sweeps for sauna and wellness across the homepage, water-composition, opening-hours and price-list pages returned nothing, so no sauna is claimed here.
The operator states that Thermal Park Vrbov is open all year round including public holidays, with the exception of 24 December. Summer hours from 26 June 2026 are 09:00-22:00 Monday to Sunday, with bathers required to leave the pools by 21:30; winter hours from 14 September 2026 are 10:00-21:00 daily with pools closing at 20:30. Visitors must leave the pools 30 minutes before the site closes. Summer admission is split into two zones: in the LETO zone an adult pays 13.50 EUR for 2.5 hours, 14.50 EUR for four hours and 17.50 EUR for a full day, while the THERMAL zone costs 16.50, 17.50 and 21.50 EUR for the same periods; evening bathing from 17:00 to 21:30 is 14.00 EUR in the LETO zone and 17.00 EUR in the THERMAL zone. From 14 September 2026 a single tariff applies, with an adult paying 12.50 EUR for 2.5 hours, 13.50 EUR for four hours and 17.00 EUR for a full day, and 13.00 EUR for evening bathing from 17:00 to 20:30. Reduced rates apply to children aged 3 to 15, seniors over 60 and disabled visitors; children under three enter free. Family packages and group discounts of 10 per cent above 20 people and 15 per cent above 40 people are published, a ticket includes 30 free minutes for changing, and exceeding the purchased time limit costs 2 EUR for each hour started.
