Meander Thermal Resort

Meander Thermal & Ski Resort sits in the mountain village of Oravice at the foot of the Western Tatras, near the Slovak-Polish border. It combines sport, recreation and relaxation year-round, pairing a geothermal aquapark with a ski park whose lower cable-car station is just 50 metres from the aquapark entrance.

Geothermal water & source

The aquapark is one of very few that supplies 100% geothermal water to all of its pools. The hot springs that feed the Oravice thermal pools rise in the glacial Bobrovecká (Bobrowiecka) Valley. Across the pools the water temperature ranges from about 28 to 38 °C, so the water world can be enjoyed in any weather and any season.

Additional services such as the jacuzzi and sauna offer a complete dose of relaxation and regeneration, making the most of the beneficial effects of the geothermal water on the body.

Accommodation

Guests can book modern accommodation directly on the resort grounds, in the heart of the Western Tatras and only 50 metres from the ski park. Options include Deluxe+ rooms and mountain-style Deluxe apartments as well as comfortable standard rooms. Deluxe+ rooms feature two beds, a built-in wardrobe, satellite TV, private bathroom and toilet, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a fridge and an electric kettle. Rates include a rich buffet breakfast, a free extra bed for children under 3, and all-day access to the geothermal aquapark (and to the ski park in the ski season). Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out until 10:00.

The pools and attractions are designed for the whole family, with a dedicated children's pool and a children's play corner, plus a free extra bed for children under 3 in accommodation.

Dining

The Meander Restaurant is located in the main aquapark building next to reception. Guests can choose from international cuisine and fine wines from the wine list, and an outdoor terrace makes an ideal spot for an afternoon coffee with mountain views.

Mountain setting

The natural scenery of Oravice has its own unique charm, with an alpine climate, forests, blooming crocuses and geothermal water. The surrounding mountains are full of hiking trails and cycling paths, and in summer the resort also operates a bike park, MTB and MontainCart rentals; in winter there are over 12 km of ski slopes.
