Tatralandia

Aquapark Tatralandia is one of Slovakia's largest year-round water resorts, set in the Liptov region of Liptovský Mikuláš beneath the High Tatras. It combines genuine geothermal thermal-mineral water, a tropical indoor salt-water hall, a huge collection of pools and slides, an extensive sauna world and on-site accommodation, so the resort operates through every season.

Geothermal thermal water

Tatralandia draws real geothermal water that rises from a depth of over 2.5 km, where the temperature reaches 60.7 °C and the water carries mineral elements of the ancient Paleogene Sea. This thermal-mineral water is credited with beneficial effects on the musculoskeletal and respiratory systems, and it feeds several of the resort's year-round pools.

• Sport & Thermal Pool – a thermal pool divided into a sport section at 36 °C and a relaxation zone at 40 °C, with massage beds, chairs and a water spring.
• Niagara Pool – a thermal-water outdoor pool kept at 30 °C year-round with swimming lanes.

Tropical Paradise (indoor salt-water hall)

The enclosed Tropical Paradise hall spans around 400 m² and is held at a constant 30 °C, with tall palm trees, a wrecked pirate ship centrepiece and a special roof covering that lets visitors tan in every season. Its four pools are filled with warm salt water at 34–36 °C containing 32 chemical compounds, allowing guests to enjoy thalassotherapy (sea-water healing) all year. Features include underwater jets and fountains and a snorkelling pool with aquarium elements such as corals, sea anemones and colourful fish. Poolside there is the Barbados Bar serving drinks in the water, the Paradise Restaurant and the Marina Bar for pancakes and ice cream.

Pools and attractions

In total 14 pools await in summer, 10 of them open all year round, filled with salt water, fresh water and thermal water. Year-round pools include the White Lagoon and Bubble Pool (salt water, 33 °C), the Paradise, Tropical and Snorkeling pools (clear water, 33 °C), the Ocean Pool (32 °C), the Children's Pirates Pool (32 °C) and the Tower Pool (28 °C). Summer additions include a large attraction pool with 21 features (slides, water swings and massage jets), the tropical Amazonia children's pool, a 25-metre swimming pool with lanes and the Raftaria landing pool.

• Water slides: around 30 slides and tubes in total – roughly 24 summer slides plus 6 year-round slides and tubes for fast, adrenaline-filled rides.
• World of Colourful Bricks and the ZOOKONTAKT animal-contact area for extra family entertainment.

Family and kids

Karibik Kid's Island is a dedicated children's zone with an Ocean pool (32 °C) with bubbles, massage beds and underwater jets, plus a Pirate pool with a hollow-tree slide and themed characters. The Aquapolis play town offers an interactive traffic playground, polyclinic and fire station for the youngest visitors, while a bastion behind the children's pool holds five year-round slides – Monkey Slide, Jungle Raft, Black&White, Tornado and Rappido.

Sauna, wellness and spa

The Celtic Sauna World is a complex of 21 steam, water and massage baths, saunas and procedures combining hydrotherapy, aromatherapy and music therapy. Saunas include the Finnish-style Tatra Sauna (60–80 °C) and Liptov Sauna (90–100 °C), the Energy of Light infrared sauna (44–55 °C), Himalayan salt saunas (around 44–45 °C), an outdoor wooden Bio Sauna (40–60 °C) and a eucalyptus/menthol steam boiler, alongside cooling and ice baths (9–15 °C), whirlpools, foot baths, heated lounges and a spring-water station. The separate Wellness Centre offers massages (including Thai and aromatic), face masks and peelings, wraps and fish therapy.

Dining and accommodation

Restaurants and bars are spread across the resort, including the Paradise Restaurant, Barbados Bar and Marina Bar within Tropical Paradise, with a reusable-cup programme in place. On-site accommodation is provided by the Holiday Village Tatralandia and Lake Garden Tatralandia, making the resort a full year-round holiday destination.
