Ștrandul Neptun

Ștrandul Neptun is a large open-air bathing and recreation complex set in the natural loop of the Mureș River in Arad, spread across more than 20 hectares of green space. Administered by S.C. RECONS S.A., it is described as one of the largest strands in Europe located in the immediate vicinity of a running-water source, with development dating back to the late 1960s.

Water & pools

The main pool complex groups five basins with a combined surface of roughly 8,700 m². The pools are dedicated to different uses and audiences:

• One pool dedicated to swimming
• One pool for adults
• Three pools for children
• One pool fed by thermal water ("apă termală")

Water slides are also part of the aquatic offer. Alongside the pools, the site features the Neptune Cascade, a decorative waterfall feature.

Family & kids

With three dedicated children's pools and a children's playground, the strand caters strongly to families visiting during the summer season.

The grounds include commercial and public-catering spaces: bars, terraces, restaurants and pizzerias serve visitors throughout the complex.

Setting & amenities

Visitors enjoy an expansive riverside setting of green space within the Mureș bend. Rental recreation cabins (căsuțe de agrement) and personal-item locker rental are available on site.
