Ștrand Termal Tășnad

Ștrand Termal Tășnad is a geothermal bathing complex operated by the City of Tășnad as a subordinate public institution, set about two kilometres from the centre of the Tășnad spa resort in Satu Mare county. Operating since 1978, it is the largest thermal beach in the county and one of the best-known geothermal destinations in north-western Romania.

Geothermal water

The resort draws on the Tășnad geothermal reservoir, whose water reaches roughly 72°C at the source. This mineral-rich thermal water feeds the outdoor pools during the warm season and the covered pavilion in the cold season, so bathing in thermal water is possible year-round.

Pools & attractions

• Five pools in total: four filled with thermal water and one with cold water.
• A dedicated children's pool for families with young visitors.
• In the cold season the cold-water pool is converted into a thermal basin once the winter pavilion opens, keeping thermal bathing available through autumn and winter.
• Extensive grounds with sun terraces and lounge chairs for relaxation between swims.

Winter pavilion

A covered pavilion sits at the edge of the pool and provides easy, sheltered access straight from the changing rooms into a thermal-water basin, so visitors can bathe without going outside during colder months.

Camping & accommodation

The complex includes an on-site camping zone with its own daily entry pricing, allowing guests to stay next to the pools throughout the season.

Family & kids

With a children's pool, green grounds and camping, the strand is geared toward family visits; children under six enter free and reduced rates apply for children and students.

The thermal beach lies on Strada Ștefan cel Mare in the resort town of Tășnad, surrounded by greenery, within easy reach of the town's spa amenities.
