About

Termas das Caldas da Saúde is a historic thermal spa in Areias, Santo Tirso, in northern Portugal. First opened in the 19th century and fully remodelled in 1994, it was among the first Portuguese spas to operate year-round with both classic thermal treatments and wellness care.

Thermal water & source

The spring yields weakly mineralised sulphurous, chlorinated, sodium-rich water emerging at about 36°C with a pH of 8.74, used for its therapeutic properties.
