About
Termas da Moimenta is the spa of Moimenta, a village among the mountains of Terras de Bouro in northern Portugal, about 16 km from the entrance to the Peneda-Gerês National Park.
Its water is sulphurous, bicarbonated and sodic, and emerges at 21 °C with a pH of 9.04. The balneotherapy department offers computerised and underwater hydromassage, bubble and immersion baths, a Vichy shower and steam cabins, along with nasal irrigation, pharyngeal spraying and nebulisation.
Besides the classic thermal cure, the spa offers itself as a place to rest in the mountains. It is seasonal and closed in winter, and makes a base for the landscapes of the Gerês region.
