Termy Szaflary

Termy Szaflary is a geothermal bathing complex in Szaflary in the Podhale region of southern Poland, set against the backdrop of the Tatra Mountains. Its pools are fed with highly mineralized thermal water, which the venue describes as having the best mineralization among waters used for recreational purposes in Podhale.

Thermal water & source

The thermal water is drawn from borehole IG1, operated by PEC Geotermia Podhalanska S.A. Total mineralization is 2268.80 mg/dm3, with notable components including sulfates (779.30 mg/dm3), chlorides (446.70 mg/dm3), sodium (435.30 mg/dm3), calcium (197.70 mg/dm3) and magnesium (40.06 mg/dm3). Water temperature across the pools is maintained in the range of 30-38 C.

Pools & attractions

The complex has four pools — two outdoor and two indoor — with a combined water surface of 970 m2. Hydrotherapy and relaxation features throughout the pools include water jets, massage benches, whirlpools, geysers and neck and shoulder massagers.

Saunas & wellness

The saunarium offers five types of sauna: Finnish, infrared, herbal, aromatherapy and a steam room. It operates daily from 10:00 to 22:00, is reserved for adults (18+) and is a clothing-optional zone. Warming sauna sessions (seanse saunowe) run on selected days at 18:30, 19:30 and 20:30, featuring herbal-fruit exfoliants, natural creams, masks and aromatic treatments.

The spa provides facial treatments (such as Collagen Wellness, Kobido facial massage and HydraGlow), body massages including hot stone and relaxation massage, foot massage, and body rituals such as a thermal mud Gua Sha treatment and couples' experiences.

Family & kids

Families are served by a children's wading pool with a children's slide, a summer Kids' Bay with animators, and a seasonal "Thermal Kindergarten" supervision service.

Dining

On-site dining includes Restauracja Termy Szaflary (open 11:00-22:00) and Restauracja Mokra (open 9:00-22:00).

Luxury apartments are available on site with several package options, and reception operates 24/7. The complex sits in Szaflary, close to the Tatras, combining thermal recreation with mountain scenery.
