Het Diekmann

Het Diekman is a municipal swimming facility at Sportpark Het Diekman in the Varvik-Diekman district of Enschede, in the Netherlands, operated by Sportaal.

The original indoor pool opened in August 1991 and held a 25-metre competition pool and a recreation pool that featured two water slides, a wild-water course and a toddler area; an outdoor pool was added in July 2010. A new building, under construction from early 2024, replaced it: the old indoor pool closed on 1 July 2026 and the new facility opened that month.

The operator describes two pools in the new building, used for lessons, lane swimming, recreational swimming and aqua-sport classes: a larger sports pool with eight 25-metre lanes, and a warmer pool with five lanes. Named aqua-fitness classes include Aqua Jogging, Aqua Varia and Bootcamp, plus a seniors session called Aqua Vitaal held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings with coffee or tea afterwards. Swimming lessons run under the Zwem-ABC and Zwem-ABC+ diploma programme, alongside a separate Aqua Club course. The pool is at J.J. van Deinselaan 2 in Enschede.
