About

Linus Lingen is the leisure bath, sports swimming hall, open-air pool and sauna complex at Teichstraße 18 in Lingen (Ems). The operator's site plan numbers thirty-one points and gives a depth and a water temperature for each basin: an Attraktionsbecken 60 to 135 cm deep at 27°C, a Sprungbecken 495 cm deep at 20°C, an outdoor Planschbecken 30 cm deep at 28°C, the Sportschwimmhalle with a movable floor (Hubboden) 30 to 199 cm at 27°C, a Sportbecken with a 1 m and 3 m diving tower 180 to 380 cm deep at 27°C, an indoor Planschbecken 45 cm deep at 33.5°C, a Lehrschwimmbecken 25 to 125 cm at 31.5°C, a Spaßbecken 125 cm at 31.5°C, an Außenbecken 125 cm at 32°C, a Massagebecken 110 cm at 32°C and a sauna cooling pool 125 cm at 18°C. The operator states a water area of over 1,000 m² but publishes no pool total, so the basins above are the enumeration as printed. The water is ordinary treated bathing water; no thermal, mineral or brine bathing water is claimed anywhere on the site.

The slide is the 100 m Black-Hole flume. The operator further lists a current channel (Strömungskanal), the Spaßbecken and massage jets, and on the outdoor side water jets, a water play feature, a mud pump, a volleyball court and a tartan mound. The Sportschwimmhalle is reserved for schools and clubs. Entry, the changing areas and all basins are reachable by wheelchair: a ramp to the cash desk, a lift down to the bathing level, two wheelchair cabins with showers and a pool lifter; the sauna has a stairlift to the ground floor and the sauna garden.

The sauna world covers over 6,000 m² on two levels, indoors and outdoors, with seven sauna offerings. Indoors there are four: the infusion sauna 'Kleine Auszeit' in hemlock with temperatures up to 86°C, a Sanarium at 50 to 55°C with humidity up to about 50%, a steam bath at 45 to 49°C with almost 100% humidity, and an infrared cabin at 35 to 40°C; alongside them an ice fountain, a plunge pool and eight foot-warming basins at a heated bench. Outdoors there are three themed saunas: the Panoramasauna at 80 to 85°C facing the pond, the Erlebnissauna at 85 to 90°C in polar spruce, and the Erdsauna at 92 to 97°C with an open fire. The sauna park also holds a Solehaus salt inhalation room with salt walls and a salt mist, an ornamental pond with a waterfall, a stone-grotto cooling area with Kneipp hoses, a small outdoor pool and a lawn with loungers. The sauna is textile-free, and Tuesdays are women-only in the whole sauna landscape, public holidays excepted.

The leisure bath opens 09.00-20.00 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 09.00-21.00 on Tuesday and Thursday, and 09.00-19.00 on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays; the sauna opens 09.00-22.00 Monday to Saturday and 09.00-20.00 on Sunday and holidays. Bathing time ends 15 minutes before the bathing area closes and the last admission is one hour before closing. The open-air pool runs a summer season only: in 2026 it opened for the last time on Sunday 13 September before the winter break, while the indoor bath and sauna stay open year-round. Two operator pages contradict each other on early swimming: the opening-hours page prints 'Montags - freitags 06.30 - 08.00 Uhr (Frühschwimmen)', the price page prints the early swim as 'Montags, mittwochs und freitags von 06:30 bis 8:00 Uhr'. Admission to the leisure bath is 6.50 € for adults for two hours, 5.00 € reduced, each extended by 0.50 € per further 30 minutes, with a daily maximum of 9.00 € and 6.50 €; a family day ticket is 19.00 € and early swimming 4.50 €. Sauna admission, which includes the leisure bath and the open-air pool, is 24.00 € for three hours or 29.00 € for a day ticket, 19.50 € and 24.00 € reduced, with a 2 € per-person surcharge on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Children and young people up to their 18th birthday enter the leisure bath free on their birthday.
