About

Kabai Városi Gyógyfürdő is a municipal medicinal thermal bath in the town of Kaba, Hungary. It sits in the town centre, next to the Reformed church, at Rákóczi utca 65. The site was renovated in 2006.

The water

The bath is supplied by thermal water that emerges at 47°C. The site describes it as an alkaline-bicarbonate (hidrogénkarbonátos) medicinal water. It is recommended for musculoskeletal complaints, above all disorders of the hip and knee joints.

Pools & saunas

Two medicinal pools are held at higher temperatures, one at 34-36°C and the other at 36-38°C. Water features include a rock waterfall (sziklazuhogó), a neck shower, a back-massage jet and a bubble bed. Two saunas are available: a Finnish sauna and an infrared sauna, the latter offered between 1 October and 30 April. Sauna use requires advance booking, with a minimum group size on weekdays.

Treatments

The bath provides a range of physiotherapy and balneotherapy services, including massage, an underwater water-jet treatment (tangentor), group water therapy, electrotherapy and combined baths. Changing rooms, showers and WC facilities are on site.
